A Ripple Effect
I've been thinking a lot about self-talk and have really been reigning in my nagging, negative thoughts over the past few weeks. I don't know when exactly my little spiral began taking place, but I am so grateful to have caught it when I did. Awareness is the first step, right?
I talk so often about the pivot. Catching thoughts in the moment and changing them around is such a crucial step in changing how and what we manifest. Our thoughts are like pebbles we throw into the water that make tiny ripples that impact every aspect of our lives. I'll be completely honest with you, since I've been paying super close attention to what I've been saying to myself, things really have been turning around in every area of my life.
I signed up for Gabby Bernstein's 21-day manifestation challenge she does every January, for the first time this year. (This year is closed but you can get on the list for next year by clinking the link above.) I can't begin to tell you how grateful I am that I did. It was the best $37 I've ever spent. For real. And it's even more powerful as I've been reading her new book, Self-Help. I literally cried in the first chapter.
What I've just come to realize is how I had been blocking myself because I never thought I was as good as those I looked up to. Do you ever feel like that?
As I've been working on my second book, I was going through the introduction last night that I had written months ago about the fear I've had in feeling worthy enough in every aspect of my life. But here's the thing: I AM worthy. I am worthy of love. I am worthy of creating. I am worthy of telling my story. My job is to create, and then let the Universe bring in what is for me and the means for it to be delivered.
This also requires me to love all of the parts of me. To truly accept and believe in myself so much, that I don't seek outside validation. So often we do that. It's so easy to.
Yesterday, Gabby's manifestation challenge reminded us to look for driftwood. Those little things that we see that are saying, “Yes, you're on the right path.” My fear about being good enough and fear surrounding this new project has been addressed in just two days. Not only have I been seeing signs everywhere that have come in so many forms, including human angels, I also randomly (not randomly because nothing is ever “random”) stumbled upon a Dr. Joe Dispenza talk on YouTube yesterday that I clearly needed to hear. And then TODAY, Gabby's challenge was all about creation.
She shares a story about her husband Zach and his creations. And how all he did was do the work he was passionate about, and everything else just showed up. (It's more detailed than that, of course, but it's a great story.) But THAT is how much power creating holds. Do the work, let go of expectations, allow everything else to flow.
As if that wasn't enough, I opened up my third eye app for today's message, and do you know what is was?
“Creating is an act of courage, not perfection. My work is a reflection of my unique perspective, and it deserves to be shared.”
If that's not driftwood or messages from my guides, then what is? But my job is also to be in alignment and to follow my heart.
I am so excited to have had this monumental pivot moment in the past few weeks. I am so excited to finally be fully committed to so much I had been teetering on. Manifesting is real. It doesn't happen overnight, although it can. We must create in our minds, the path we want to be on and the future we want, let go, and then do the thing. Everything else will come as it should, in perfect time.
As Dr. Wayne Dyer always said, “When you believe it, you'll see it.”
I hope you take some time to sit in your worthiness. I hope you take the time to truly love yourself and have complete faith in your ability to create whatever you'd like to create. I hope you fill rooms with big love. The energy you bring with you has the power to change any space you enter. I pray you walk in love and light.
We have all the power within. What type of ripples are you ready to make?
