Another Year of 30 Days of Gratitude

Another Year of 30 Days of Gratitude
Happy Friday! And happy November.

I get so excited this time of year, especially as we're heading into year five of my 30 Days of Gratitude.

I began this tradition back in 2022 because I was going through some major shifts in my life, and I wanted to focus on what I was grateful for rather than the disappointment of having to start over again from scratch.

I feel like my past few newsletters and posts have touched on some of my feelings about building something. About continuing to move forward because you WANT to, not because you're getting outside validation for where your heart is leading you.

I think gratitude plays a huge role in that.

One of the biggest things I've learned along the way is that just because I feel grateful in certain areas of my life doesn't mean I'm free from hurt or disappointment.

➡️ I believe you can be grateful for your life and still want to change parts of it.

➡️ You can be grateful for the lessons and still wish you hadn't had to learn them the hard way.

➡️ You can be grateful for where you are and still be excited about where you're going and the changes you want to make.

You all know I hate toxic positivity. That isn't what this is.

Being grateful does not mean denying your pain. It doesn't mean suppressing difficult emotions. And it certainly doesn't mean pretending everything is wonderful. Maybe that's one of the biggest lessons I've learned over the years.

Posting for 30 days means showing up on the hard days, too. But those days don't necessarily have to be the focus. And you don't have to wait until you've achieved everything you want to appreciate the person you are and the life you're building.

I believe gratitude and ambition can coexist.
So can gratitude and grief.
Gratitude and disappointment.
Gratitude and uncertainty.

Being grateful doesn't mean everything is perfect. Actually, nothing is ever perfect, and none of us need perfection to be a requirement for appreciation. That's just crazy talk right there.

Gratitude is a foundation we can build upon. A foundation for growth, movement, and love.

And I'm inviting you to join me on this journey for the remainder of November.

Share my Reels with friends who might need to hear them. Tell me what you're grateful for. And it would be even cooler if YOU participated and made your own gratitude posts or videos. I'd LOVE to see them.

And one more thing.

Gratitude shouldn't be about a season or a social media trend. It's a practice that can change what we pay attention to.

Join me this month on Instagram or Facebook.
Let's all be Inspired AF together.

I love you.
