How We Show Up

Happy Friday! I hope you've had a great week. There are a couple things I've had on my mind this week. I don't know where you currently are in your life. I don't know if you're working on a dream, if you're working on yourself. I don't know if you're having a great week or a bad week or if you're feeling triggered. I don't know if you're feeling elated or frustrated or if you just feel like you're carrying the weight of it all. Life's ups and downs can be pretty dramatic, I know. We all show up every day in differing states of being and feeling.
What I DO know, is that wherever you are, take a moment to sit back and be incredibly grateful. For ALL of it. You are exactly where you need to be for your own journey. I know I say that all the time. But I want to remind you that everything we feel is a gift. Every challenge, every heartbreak, every high and every low, WE get to FEEL that. We get to have these powerful experiences. I mean, think about that for a minute. We have the privilege to experience everything there is to offer. We get to be on this incredible journey, and we are the producer, director and actor in all of it.
When I hear people say, “I didn't ask for this,” I think, “Yes. Yes you did.” Life mirrors what we put out. And it is my belief that we are constantly evolving. And if we're not, we're not truly living to our full potential. We are wasting life versus LIVING life. I believe we chose what we wanted to learn and knew exactly the circumstances we needed in our lives for that evolution to occur, before we even came into this life. And we have every resource available to us in order to do that. And that, my friends, requires stepping into our power. It also requires our consistency, which is something I've been really working on…focusing on the little steps daily. I want to soak in as much life and learn as much as I can.
It doesn't matter where you are, what your skin color is, what your religion is, where you came from, you still have the ability to learn new ways to do things, new ways to think, and new ways to be.
There is so much tension out in the world. I feel it daily. I have to make an effort to remain soft and firm and also remain diligent. And if there's one thing you take into the weekend, I want to remind you that we don't know what someone is truly going through. Your love and kindness have the power to transform lives. Your words matter. Your thoughts matter. How you're showing up matters. If we aren't happy with what we're seeing, we get to do something different. Even when we think it's hard. Even if we've done it differently in the past. We get to choose.
How does it feel to be that powerful? I think it's inspiring af.
Until next week, I love you.
Easier said than done just trying to be a good human..
