I Didn't Plan This, But You Need to Hear It

Happy Friday!
We made it through another week, and I just want to remind you—you're doing amazing.
I wish I could say I knew exactly what I was going to talk about today, but the truth is... I didn't. This is pure stream of thought. My head has been deep in my book project all week. The only breaks I've taken have been the ones I've had to force—thanks to my friends doing their best to keep me somewhat balanced.
But for two weeks, one word has been looping through my head like a soundtrack: “Bridge.” So that's what we're talking about.
The word bridge became my mantra two weeks ago—thank you, Mel Robbins. She didn't tell me to make it a mantra, but it sure turned into one. I've probably said it to myself a thousand times by now. It's kind of ridiculous—and also kind of awesome.
I've also been trying to be better about listening to podcasts again. I go through phases. Honestly, I don't think I listened to a single one on tour. And I don't just listen to any podcast—it has to light me up. It has to inspire growth. Nine times out of ten, my go-to is Lewis Howes. His guests are top tier. I'm not gonna lie—it's a personal dream of mine to be on his show someday. That's how much I love what he puts out into the world.
Last week, I hopped on the treadmill (because no one should be glued to their computer all day) and pulled up his podcast. First episode that popped up? A highlight reel featuring Dr. Joe Dispenza, Jay Shetty, and Mel Robbins—three of my favorites. The theme? Healing your past and manifesting your future. Sold.
And then came Mel's voice—sharing something I hadn't heard before that hit me like a lightning bolt. She said (and I'm paraphrasing) that while manifestation is great and totally possible, it doesn't work for most people—not because the dream is impossible, but because the gap between where you are and where you want to be feels too big. So the dream becomes overwhelming. Out of reach.
So what's the solution?
The bridge.
The bridge is the work. It's the inspired action.
It's the weekends spent grinding instead of going out.
It's the freezing run you take when you're training for something bigger. It's the quiet, unglamorous, uncomfortable middle.

The bridge is where we build momentum, even when we don't feel like it. It's what we do consistently, not occasionally, that moves the needle.
And honestly? That idea cracked something open in me. I'm not mad about it—I'm lit up by it. Finishing up this massive book project I've poured my heart into for the last year has me laser-focused. I'm in the final stretch. Editing mode. Less than two weeks until it's turned in. And I couldn't care less about anything outside my space right now. Tunnel vision in full effect. I'm on the bridge, baby.
So if you're holding a vision for your future, something you're calling in or working toward—don't just dream about the outcome.
Focus on the bridge.
Build it. Step on it. Walk it.
And remember: The bridge is the magic.
Until next week, I love you.
