Welcome to the Re-Start

Welcome to the Re-Start
It's been a week since I've been home from our UK tour. It's always a bittersweet transition coming home. When you're out on the road, there is purpose every single day. We get to see so many people who have supported us over the years. We hear your stories, feel your tears, and ultimately get to see how fragile we all are and how important music is in healing.

Cold isn't just any band. Scooter, as an artist, has created many soundtracks of moments in our lives. For me to be a part of that is something I will never take for granted. The COLD ARMY has been nothing but supportive after all these years. I truly love each and every one of you, and I speak for everyone when I say that.

We are taking some time off from touring. We've been on the road so much over the last few years, and Scooter really wants to focus on creating new music. Touring is taxing on all of us physically as well. My body needs to do some healing.

But regardless, there's always something strange about going from having every day planned out for you to suddenly being responsible for figuring out what comes next. It's like even though you have a million things to do, it can still feel like you're standing still. Sometimes the toughest thing is realizing that standing still is exactly what you need, as long as you're not living there, ya know? So, I have to take a deep breath. I am excited to start taking coaching clients again and bringing focus to my personal brand, Inspired AF.

Part of finding my footing again means turning my attention toward something I've been building behind the scenes. I have created an AI app for coaching, which I introduced to you in my last newsletter. I know there is a divide in how some people view AI. I get it. However, with the creation of the Inspired AF app, I worked for months on it, teaching it everything I teach, feeding it my voice. Testing it over and over again. I believe in human connection and that is something AI cannot replace. We will never use AI to create music. There are lines in the sand that we, as artists, will not personally cross, and that's a big one.

As with anything in life, tools can be used for good or bad. When used as a tool to help people, I'm all about it. If I felt like this wasn't my voice, I would never have put it out there. So I am confident in what I've created.

Here's the thing, as long as I am alive, I will never stop learning, reading, growing, evolving, and adding inspiration to this world. Life is a gift. Every single emotion we get to experience is a gift.

There are so many fucked up things happening in the world around us, and it's easy to get overwhelmed by it all. I spiral too…more often than I would like to admit. I have to intentionally pivot my thoughts to focus on what is going right rather than what is wrong. That's on me to do that. It's on all of us to do that. I just read recently that the universe doesn't awaken us by handing us the answers. It awakens us by placing us in experiences that force us to become conscious.

Every night on stage, Scooter reminded us all that kindness costs us nothing, and it's time we stood up and were better humans. I want to contribute as much love and kindness while I'm here as I can. And that's what I intend to do.

I guess I just kind of feel like I'm starting over from scratch, even though I'm not. And just because I find my footing once, doesn't mean I won't have to find it again. Sometimes I feel like I take five steps forward and three steps back. Sometimes I don't know how to start but know I need to do something. ANYTHING. So I guess I'm starting with this post. Writing is always what I fall back on. Being real and authentic with all of you is something that is so important to me. So here we are.
