What a Musician Taught a Room Full of Regional Managers About Connection

What a Musician Taught a Room Full of Regional Managers About Connection

Happy Friday! (And yes… I also forgot it was Thursday last night. Tour brain is real.) 🙈

This week, I had the honor of speaking to a group of PNC Regional Managers in Palm Desert - and something incredible happened. We bridged two worlds that, on the surface, couldn't be more different: music and banking.

But as I stood in front of that room, something became so clear:

No matter the industry, title, or background - everyone is craving the same thing: Connection.

And not the superficial kind. Not the “likes,” “views,” “engagement metrics” kind. I'm talking about the deeper kind - the “I see you. I care about you. You matter here.” kind.

And that's the heart of every meaningful interaction. Fans feel it. Customers feel it. Teams feel it. Families feel it. And honestly? We don't talk about it enough. Our energy enters the room before we do. Intentionality is EVERYTHING.

That's one of the reasons I was brought in to speak to them. After attending a Cold show, Bob Caruso asked me to come talk to his team, because he said no band has done connection as well as we have. I personally think that's the biggest compliment. Because the truth of the matter is that we DO care.

An Artist Who Gets It Right

One example I shared with the team was the artist Yungblud, who was recently up for several Grammys. It's not the awards that make him special. It's probably not even the music (even though his music is INCREDIBLE and I've been a fan since 2017). Rather, it's how he treats people. He makes every person in the room feel seen. He breaks down walls. He collapses the distance between “artist” and “audience.” Because here's the truth I believe with every part of my being:

We're no better than anyone else.

It doesn't matter what you've accomplished or what stage you stand on. Connection is the great equalizer. And when you lead from that understanding, everything changes.

Connection Builds Trust.

Trust Builds Loyalty.

Loyalty Builds Legacy.

Whether you're running a region, leading a team, serving customers, or just showing up in general - people remember how you made them feel.

That's the magic.

That's the impact.

That's the ripple effect.

A Reflection for You This Week

Ask yourself:

✨ How can I make someone feel seen today?

✨ Where can I show up with more intention, more presence, more heart?

✨ What small gesture could remind someone they matter?

Those little decisions build trust. Trust builds everything else.

Thank you for being here. Thank you for reading, supporting, and walking this journey with me. Sending you so much love this week.

See people. Feel people. Be the connection they remember.

Live hard. Love harder.

I love you.

This is so true and what we are all looking for. I do my best to put myself out there as well. I’d almost go so far as to say love and connection is the purpose of life. Keep killing it. Xoxo

This message is so powerful and so true. A connection makes all the difference in the world. I would rather have a handful of friends that focus on connection verses a million friends that I just “talk to.” Treating someone like a person is better than treating someone like a number. When we slow down and pay attention to others it makes them feel seen and allows us to build a beautiful and real relationship. This is how I like to live my life and I love that you are inspiring others to build that true connection.
