When Your Soul Speaks
Happy Saturday, everyone!
It's been busy out here on the road so thank you all for understanding that this is a day late. I'm writing this on Friday evening, listening to University Drive rocking the stage. We are in Greenville, SC, and it's FINALLY warm. Yay!
Okay, so, I've been in this zone of doing what I absolutely love to do. The road can be tough sometimes. It's not for everyone. Being in a tour bus with 10 other people is not the most glamorous way to live for months at a time. You're away from your loved ones and family, you don't always know when your next shower is, people are always around, and sometimes, the people closest to you can annoy the living sh*t out of you. 😂
It's certainly not the easiest, however, it IS the most fulfilling for my soul. The joy I have when I get to perform the songs that have created so much hope for others makes me feel like the luckiest girl in the world. I feel so blessed. Which brings me to this week's topic: Listening to your soul when it speaks to you.
While I don't in any way believe that once we die, that's it, I also don't know this to be a fact, so I'm going just say that for this post, right now, we have this one life, right? So, I personally want to do everything I can that I love and focus on that inner joy and peace. Everything must align with that.
Everyone has one thing that they lose themselves in. It's such a beautiful thing. I think the best question to ask yourself, and I'm sure you've all heard this before, is, if money were not a thing, what would I be doing?
We are all given dreams and passion for a reason. We are all given these gifts. Each and every one of us are special in the perfect ways. But the sad thing I often see is so many people are completely unaware of themselves or what their dreams or passions even are. Or, the opposite could be true: you KNOW what it is you love or want to do, but are too afraid to follow through, or make excuses as to why you can't. Either way, that's not the way to live. We all have purpose.
I know one of my purposes in this life is to help change awareness, and that's why I love coaching so much. I love to get to the root of why people feel stuck and help remove the blocks in order to see the power and strength each of us have.
The things that bring you joy, and the things you love are your soul speaking to you. It's up to you to answer to that. And I believe with all my heart that there are ways to do this. For example, my SO is also a coach; One night, he asked me how many ways I could get to Hawaii. I responded the typical answers such as a boat, or a plane. “Is that it?,” he asked me? That really made me think. No, there are tons of ways: We could kayak, take a raft, hot air ballon, helicopter, canoe, etc… Same thing with our passions. There are all kinds of ways to get to a goal or a destination. Granted, some may take more time than others. But there are ways when there is faith and determination.
I believe that our dreams and purpose are always bigger than any obstacles or excuses we have. And I want you to believe in yourself so hard and know that the Universe has your back in such a way, that the start of that path becomes clear for you. My hope for you this weekend is that you take some time and think about those things that give you that spark. It takes some quiet time to listen to your soul speak to you. I promise, it will.

Thank you for sharing! I’m in the phase of life where my kids and their activities consume majority of my time. I need the reminder to find things that I enjoy as well. I came to the show Thursday night in Baltimore by myself and it was great for my soul. Seeing the joy in your face playing all these amazing songs made me so happy. Thank you for that!!

Thank you it something i know i strive for but a needed reminder in a point that i am not creating. My passiont is my art. One day i hope to design something for the band. Maybe I’ll have something by the may 8th show 🙏
